Finding Your Place

Do you ever feel caught between cultures, family expectations, and your own needs?

Finding Your Place is a six-week virtual support group at Mar Psychotherapy for multicultural young adults navigating identity, belonging, and life between cultures.

About the group

What does it mean to find your place when you're balancing family values with your own needs, or figuring out where you belong? For many first-, second-, and third-gen young adults and international students, it means holding multiple identities at once. That can be a source of growth, but it can also bring isolation, uncertainty, and pressure to honor your roots while discovering who you are.

This group offers a supportive, culturally responsive space to connect with others who get it.

Together, we'll explore

  • Cultural identity
  • Intergenerational expectations
  • Relationships
  • Emotional well-being
  • Healthy boundaries

Your facilitators

As mental health counselors, we believe in creating spaces where people feel seen, understood, and supported in the fullness of their experiences. We're looking forward to being part of this group and fostering meaningful conversations and connections.

Whether you're navigating cultural expectations, exploring your identity, or looking for a space where you feel understood, you are welcome here.
